Blair, Fort Calhoun, Arlington athletes compete at Burke in state meet

Alex Tietz 3200 second- place finish in 3200, State Track, Friday

Fort Calhoun senior Alex Tietz ended his high school distance running career with a second-place medal in the 3200 run and a third place finish in the 1600.  Sophomore  Evan Wick set personal best records finishing in seventh-place in the mile and eighth in the 3200.

Blair Junior Pitmon Foxall IV took fifth-place in the long jump and competed in the 100 finals.  Lukas Vopnford placed seventh in the long jump.

Washington County women’s state track performers included Fort Calhoun sophomore  Hanna Lazure who tied for eighth place in the high jump, and Arlington’ Olivia  Schneider who finished fifth 100-meter hurdles. Schneider also compe

ted in the long jump and 400 meter relay.
